The latest artist heading to Swindon as part of this year's MFor festival has been announced.

Steps, James Arthur and Lola Young have already been confirmed among the line-up for the upcoming Lydiard Park event - and now The Adver can exclusively reveal the newest addition is British rapper Tinie Tempah.

Tinie rose to fame with his breakout debut album 'Disc-Overy' in October 2010 and had two number one singles in the UK with Pass Out and Written in the Stars. The album also charted at number one and was certified Platinum in the next year.

In 2011 he won two Brit Awards for Best British Breakthrough Act and Best British Single.

He enjoyed further success with his second album Demonstration in November 2013.It charted at number three and was certified gold. He also had two top 10 singles with Trampoline and 'Children of the Sun'.

In June 2015, he released Not Letting Go, the first single from his third album Youth. This gave Tinie his sixth UK number one, surpassing Dizzee Rascal as the most by any UK rap artist.

And in September last year Tinie released the single Love Me Like This featuring vocalist Maia Wright.

A spokesperson from MFor festival said: "Swindon's biggest festival is about to liven things up. We're delighted to be adding Tinie to our line-up!"

There are still more acts to be announced for the festival.

The 2021 festival saw the likes of Craig David, Sigala, Ella Henderson and Gracey take to the Swindon stage and entertain thousands of revellers, but the team behind MFor are hoping for bigger and better this year.

In a recent announcement on its social media page the festival confirmed it was adding a number of features this year including new entertainment, a new carnival arena and more bars 'to keep the drinks and cocktails flowing'.

The MFor Festival will take place on July 30 at Lydiard Park from 10.30am to 10.30pm.

On top of that, Happy Mondays, The Farm and Space will be playing at the festival's Friday Night Sessions gig the night before MFor kicks off on July 29.

The same organisers are also holding a free event for the Queen's Jubillee - Pimms in the Park, also at Lydiard Park, on June 3 to June 5.
