A replica Richard Ayoade standing just 2cm tall has been unveiled as part of a new pocked-sized miniature Crystal Maze LIVE Experience.

'Great Big Tiny Design Challenge' miniaturist Bexie Bush has created a tiny 90s-inspired replica to celebrate a year of nostalgia at the attraction and as well as a miniature version of the comic - who is 1.88m tall in real life - and fellow past 'Crystal Maze' host Richard O'Brien, the 12cm wide and 7.5cm tall model features miniscule versions of the game's four iconic Zones, and even a Crystal Dome with floating gold and silver 'tokens'.

The rare design - which collapsed away into a small folding compact - features around 2,000 grains of sand in the Aztec Zone, 75 tiny pieces of straw crafted from just one cocktail stick n the Medieval Zone, and 100 pieces of .25mm wire to create the Crystal Dome structure. 4cm of embroidery thread and 0.5mm of cocktail stick were used to make a rope ladder, and a hidden treasure chest measures just 2.55mm by 5mm.

Other highlights include a slide, which can also be found in the real-life version of the Crystal Maze LIVE Experience and two miniature versions of the games you can play at the attractions in London and Manchester.

Bexie said of her design: “Being a 90s girl, I grew up playing with these kinds of toys and watching the Crystal Maze, so this was a perfect project for me.

"Once I start, I really get obsessed with the details – I could have easily worked on this for a year!

"This miniature maze is my smallest creation I’ve made to date and designing the box and zones was like an elaborate jigsaw puzzle making sure everything fitted and worked, like the rotating bookcase with hidden treasure!”
