Tipping Point's Ben Shephard to 'keep going' in personal battle after issuing 'please' plea

Ben Shephard often takes to social media to share personal updates with fans. In October, the Tipping Point presenter announced he would be challenging himself ahead of his 50th birthday.

Ben posted a video in which he said he was starting to think a lot about what being fit at 50 looks like. And now with the big day approaching the 49-year-old is enduring a lot of challenges ahead of the milestone day.

The ITV host urged supporters to "please let me know what you're thinking" and welcomed suggestions of things others have done to change their lives. Since the post, Ben has taken his followers along on the health journey with him as he continues to push himself ahead of his birthday on December 11.

In his latest post Ben shared a video to his Instagram stories. He said: "Ah thank goodness I've just done a cold plunge, this was one of those challenges that I can't tell you how many people said "Ben you got to start doing some cold plunging", but I'm glad to be back in the sauna heating myself up"

He continued: "I do feel like hopefully I'll get that surge of adrenaline and dopamine and enjoy that. Thank you for those challenges. Keep them coming in, I will keep going at it in that battle to be the fittest I've ever been.

"It's not just about being strong and being cardio fit. It's about being mentally fit. I'm much more aware of taking care of myself physically, mentally, emotionally all of those things layer into this challenge."

The presenter issued a plea to fans, adding: "And you guys have been an amazing support so far. I'm going to try stay on it, can I have some nicer ones to do as well please."

Ben Shephard has been presenting the ITV daytime game show Tipping Point since 2013 alongside celebrity episodes of Tipping Point called Tipping Point: Lucky Stars.
