Yahoo Finance is tracking IBM, Apple, Netflix and Amazon in intraday trading on Friday.
Amazon (AMZN) – CEO Jeff Bezos has sold about 1 million shares of Amazon this week, according to an SEC filing. Thanks to the stock’s recent climb, the sale is a record for Bezos, valued at $941 million. Amazon shares have climbed about 25% since January 1 and are up 41% over the past year.
Apple (AAPL), Netflix (NFLX) – Citi has named Netflix as the top acquisition target for Apple. In a research note to investors, Citi wrote that with 90% of its money overseas, a 10% repatriation tax would entice Apple to use some of its money for acquisitions. Citi also identified Disney (DIS), Tesla (TSLA), Hulu, Activision Blizzard (ATVI) and Take-Two Interactive (TTWO) as other potential targets.
IBM (IBM) – Billionaire investor Warren Buffett has cut his stake in IBM. In an interview with CNBC, the Oracle of Omaha said he reduced his holding of the blue-chip stock by a third this year, saying, “I don’t value IBM the same way that I did six years ago when I started buying.” Buffett said he started selling the stock once it was trading above $180 per share.
