Tom Brady net worth compared to Ryan Reynolds as Birmingham City set for Wrexham clash
Tonight sees League One’s heaviest financial hitters face off in front of what is expected to be a star-studded crowd.
Birmingham City will be looking to move level on points with league leaders Wrexham this evening by overcoming the Red Dragons at St Andrews. Blues co-owner Tom Brady is set to be in attendance alongside David Beckham, with Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney also flying over to watch his side in the flesh.
Birmingham have big plans under Tom Wagner and Knighthead Capital Management, with Brady, who arrived on board at the start as a minority shareholder, also a driving force in turning around the fortunes of the Blues, relegated from the Championship last season.
Wrexham have been on a remarkable rise ever since Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and McElhenney purchased the club back in 2020 when they were a National League side.

Now, like Birmingham, Wrexham are targeting a spot in the second tier of the English game next season, and they’re doing it with wealthy backing.
Brady, like Reynolds, is very much a household name in the US, his achievements as an NFL player making him arguably one of America’s greatest-ever sportsmen.
Brady - who has been crowned Super Bowl champion a record seven times - swapped a pigskin for football last year and became a minority owner in Birmingham shortly after his NFL retirement. Eager to stay involved in sport, he invested some of his estimated £228million ($300m) fortune (according to Celebrity Net Worth) into Birmingham but saw them relegated in his first season, reports The Mirror .
Arguably the most famous name in NFL history signed his last NFL contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a two-year agreement worth $50m (£38m today). Over the duration of his 20-year athletic career, it's estimated Brady earned around £175m from salary alone, but many believe he would earn significantly more if he was was born a generation later.
Despite losing an estimated £44m in the FTX crypto collapse between 2022 and 2023, Brady's earnings remain secure following his retirement. He recently signed a 10-year, £285m contract to become an NFL analyst for FOX Sports.
Brady also has a growing investment portfolio, owning the TB12 wellness brand since 2013, as well as the BRADY Brand, a performance sportswear business that launched in 2021 and leans into the booming NIL market in the US, where college athletes are finally able to earn money through image rights and sponsorship deals. He is also the co-founder of fan engagement brand Autograph, and production company Religion of Sports.
He also has a stake in other sports teams such as the Las Vegas Aces WNBA team, the Las Vegas Night Owl pickleball team, and the Las Vegas Raiders NFL team. He has an estimated net worth of £350m, but investments made in recent years will likely have pushed that north of £400m, and growing.
Reynolds' wealth continues to grow as he maintains a prominent presence in Hollywood, bagging big roles in films like Deadpool, IF and Bullet Train. However, it's his savvy investments through production company Maximum Effort that account for the more impressive boosts to his estimated empire of some £266m ($350m) in recent years.
In addition to backing numerous film and television projects, Reynolds has demonstrated a knack for identifying potential in the world of business. This includes a reported profit of £96m from the sale of Aviation Gin, as well as the £250m he allegedly made from selling a 25% stake in Mint Mobile, which was purchased by T-Mobile in 2024.
