Tom Hiddleston Was Banned From Taking Taylor Swift To Comic Con

Tom Hiddleston has seen his life become a bit of a media circus since rather publicly shacking up with Taylor Swift less than three weeks after she split from her long-term boyfriend, Calvin Harris.

The pair quickly indulged in a romantic tour of the world, packing on PDAs at every available moment and ensuring that the paparazzi documented their romance for the entire world to see.

Which is why it was pretty strange to see Tom Hiddleston flying solo at Comic Con over the weekend, with the actor attending to promote his new film Kong: Skull Island.

We mean, we have to admit that we almost didn’t recognise him without Taylor draped over him…

Now The Sun has claimed that Tom really did want to bring his popstar girlfriend along for the ride but movie bosses “banned” him from doing so because they “feared” the amount of publicity that it would draw.

Tom has been mocked relentlessly for his over-the-top romance with Taylor, with many believing that it is all just a showmance in a desperate bid for him to win the next James Bond role.

However, he has repeatedly insisted that he and Taylor are the real deal, and when he was asked at Comic Con whether he was worried about his high-profile relationship damaging his career he was sure to enforce that he and Tay were “authentic”.

Last week was a bit of a bad week for Taylor with Kim Kardashian releasing tapes that revealed that she had been lying about Kim’s husband, Kanye West, so we’re willing to bet that she definitely could have done with Tom support.
