Tom Holland's new AppleTV+ series The Crowded Room shows a different side to the actor.

Spider-Man star Tom, who also executive produces The Crowded Room, will star as Danny Sullivan, a man arrested following a New York City shooting in 1979. He will appear alongside Amanda Seyfried and Emmy Rossum in the 10-part series.

Amanda will play Ria Goodwin, while Emmy is Candy.

According to Deadline, The Crowded Room will be told through a series of interviews conducted by interrogator Ria as she tries to figure out Danny's involvement with the shooting.

Meanwhile, Holland revealed last year that playing the part of the superhero can be challenging.

"I didn't go to the toilet for like 11 hours or something, and I was desperate," he said. "When you wear the harness under the suit – obviously you can't put it over the top because you'll see it, and because the suit is so tight you have to cinch the harness up from the get-go – it means going to the bathroom is a mission.

"I remember, I called my mum up, and I was like, 'I've had a really hard day, I need to go to the toilet. I haven't been to the toilet for 11 hours'," he continued. "Two or three days later, the producers took me aside, and they were like, 'How are your kidneys?'"
