Tom Jones May Quit Singing Following Death Of His Wife Linda After 59 Years Together

Sir Tom Jones might never sing again following the death of his wife of 59 years.

The Voice from the Valleys has previously admitted he would struggle if Linda, 75 – who lost a “short but fierce” cancer battle – died before him.

Jones, also 75, told chat show host Jonathan Ross in October: “She wasn’t well a while ago and we didn’t know whether she was going to make it.”

The Sun revealed the ex-Voice coach, above, and below with his wife in happier times, added he told son and manager Mark before her death: “If your mother doesn’t make it, I don’t know whether I can sing.”

He continued: “A lot of the songs that I do, I think of her, so it would be hard if she wasn’t there to be able to sing.”

Jones was at his wife’s hospital deathbed on Sunday.

Her passing came after he cancelled gigs in Asia last week due to “serious illness in the immediate family”.

The couple, who married in 1957 at 16, were last pictured together in 2014 in LA.

Jones’ long-suffering wife stood by him despite his admissions of scores of affairs.
