Tom Parker Bowles addresses 'inaccurate' rumours about Queen Camilla's health
Tom Parker Bowles has confronted persistent rumours suggesting his mother, Camilla, Queen Consort, frequently indulges in drinking and smoking. Ahead of the release of his book 'Cooking and the Crown', he dismissed these claims as 'inaccurate' and perhaps even stems from The Windsors Channel 4 comedy show.
"Never drunk a glass of gin in her life," he told The Times in September. "Doesn’t smoke... Never seen her so much as tipsy." His comments surfaced just weeks before the Queen pulled out of official duties due to a chest infection.
Although no detailed information on her condition or treatment was made public, it is believed she will be monitored by medical professionals. According to the Mirror, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said yesterday: "Her Majesty The Queen is currently unwell with a chest infection, for which her doctors have advised a short period of rest.

"With great regret, Her Majesty has therefore had to withdraw from her engagements for this week but she very much hopes to be recovered in time to attend this weekend's Remembrance events as normal. She apologises to all those who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result."
While reports suggest Queen Camilla once smoked cigarettes, a personal trainer recently informed The Express that she now maintains a healthy lifestyle. Both King Charles and the Queen Consort are said to enjoy preparing hearty meals with fresh produce, some from their own estate.
Tom's latest cookbook reveals that Her Majesty has a knack for selecting nourishing recipes, evidenced by her tradition of preparing the Royal Family's breakfast every Boxing Day in substantial amounts. The dish, affectionately dubbed 'buttered eggs' by Princess Margaret, is simple to make, requiring just four central ingredients and taking a mere 10 to 20 minutes to prepare.
In another recent Mirror report, Helen Bell, a nutritionist at the UK Care Guide, explained that eggs are packed with protein and may even help you lose weight. She said: "In my experience, consuming eggs as a snack can actually be quite beneficial for weight loss. Eggs are high in protein, which helps to increase satiety and keep you feeling fuller for longer.
"This can reduce the overall calorie intake throughout the day. But, it's important to watch portion sizes and prepare them in a healthy way, like boiling or poaching, to avoid adding unnecessary fats."
