Tom Parker says brain tumour has 'significantly reduced' as he 'responds well' to treatment

Tom Parker has seen a "significant reduction" in the size of his brain tumour.

The Wanted singer shared the good news to his Instagram on Thursday, as he described it as a "f***ing good day".

"SIGNIFICANT REDUCTION 💫🙏🏻 These are the words I received today and I can’t stop saying them over and over again.

"I had an MRI scan on Tuesday and my results today were a significant reduction to the tumour and I am responding well to treatment. Everyday I’m keeping on the fight to shrink this b*****d!" the 32-year-old wrote.

He went on to thank the "wonderful" NHS and the staff on the front line amid the coronavirus pandemic.

"To my amazing wife @being_kelsey who has literally been my rock. My babies - I fight for you every second of every day," Parker continued.

"Friends, family and everyone on this journey with me- you have got me through my darkest days. To everyone on here- your love, light and positivity have inspired me. Every message has not been unnoticed they have given me so much strength.

"This journey is a rollercoaster that’s for sure. Today is a f***ing good day."

He shared his diagnosis with the public last year, explaining the inoperable tumour had been discovered after he went for an MRI scan following a seizure. Doctors later confirmed he had a stage four glioblastoma.

He told fans at the time that he had begun chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments.

It came as he and wife Kelsey were expecting their second child, Bodhi, who was born just weeks after revealing his diagnosis.

The couple are also parents to 18-month-old daughter Aurelia.
