Derby still keen on Adams

Our colleagues at DerbyshireLive report Derby County remain keen on signing Ebou Adams this summer.

The midfielder spent the second half of the season on loan at Pride Park and became a fans' favourite, helping the club out of League One back to the Championship, even being carried off the pitch by supporters when promotion was achieved.

Derby will be undergoing something of a midfield rebuild this summer, with Conor Hourihane, Korey Smith and Max Bird all heading out the exit door.

The east Midlands outfit were reportedly preparing a bid for Adams but that was quickly shot down by his representatives. However, the newly-promoted side still retain an interest in him.

"I congratulated him for the victory," Cardiff manager Bulut said when asked about Adams' situation earlier this month. "They got promoted. He was a big part from the season and helped the team a lot to get promoted.

"New season, if we are all together here, we will see how it goes. He is still under contract of Cardiff City - he is a Cardiff City player. So let's see how he thinks, how his manager is thinking, how the clubs are thinking - Cardiff City and Derby - and we will see.

"I think there was interest in him, very much, and they took him. But if [they want to sign him permanently], they have to discuss with our club."

Luthra set to leave club

Sky Sports News report Rohan Luthra will leave Cardiff this summer.

The keeper, 23, has been with the club for the past three years.

The youngster is something of a trailblazer, becoming the first goalkeeper to come out of Britain's South Asian community to play in the Championship when he made his debut off the bench against Preston North End last season.

Luthra came through the ranks at Crystal Palace. His contract with the Bluebirds, who have yet to publish their full retained list, expires at the end of next month.

Former Bluebirds back in Championship

It was a great weekend for former Bluebirds Josh Murphy, Mark Harris, Ryan Bennett and Ciaron Brown.

Murphy's first-half brace in the League One play-off final against Bolton Wanderers at Wembley propelled The U's back into the second tier where the quartet will face their former employers next season.

Des Buckingham's side were seen as underdogs heading into this one but were deserved winners on the day.

Murphy, especially, was brilliant, with the attacker revealing brother Jacob, who plays for Newcastle United, gave him the support needed to provide the match-winning moments.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the final whistle, Murphy said: "I want to play in these big moments and my brother keeps telling me 'it's your time to shine', and I think I did that today.

"We’ve got such good togetherness here and everyone’s just dug in. The performance against Peterborough was backs against the wall and we did it. Today, we played out of our skins – I’m buzzing.

"This group is very special. We were the underdogs coming into today and we just played amazingly, and now we’re in the Championship."

King gets accolade

Eli King has been voted as Ross County's young player of the year by the Scottish outfit's official supporters' club.

The on-loan Bluebird has impressed both fans of his new club and supporters back in south Wales, who have taken a keen interest in his development north of the border.

He could have a part to play in Cardiff's pre-season plans when he heads back south this summer. He is contracted to the club until the summer of 2026 and with players such as Romaine Sawyers, Andy Rinomhota and perhaps Ebou Adams on the move, there may be a space for him in Erol Bulut's plans - should the Turkish boss remain as Cardiff manager.

King still has games to go for County, who are involved in a Scottish Premiership relegation play-off against Raith Rovers over two legs this week.
