Tony Blair: Both parties 'pose a risk' to the country

Former Labour prime minister Tony Blair has said a majority for his own party in the election would “pose a risk” to the UK.

He also spoke out against a Tory majority, telling an audience at a Reuters Newsmakers event in London: “Both as majority governments pose a risk.”

Mr Blair stressed that both the Conservatives' pledge to end the UK's transition period after Brexit at the end of 2020 with or without a deal and Labour's spending plans posed a "risk".
