Netflix's Too Hot to Handle is the streaming service's answer to Love Island, except it's more honest about being a gameshow, what with it testing its contestants to not, ahem, bone each other in a situation where they just want to bone each other.

We're fully expecting it to get a second season. While the show is full of interesting moments for you to discuss next to your (virtual) watercoolers, not everything that was filmed made the cut.

Speaking to Metro, contestant David Birtwistle said: "There was one [challenge] at the start we did that. We were in pairs and we had to try and get the other person’s heart rate up.

"So if I had the heart monitor on, my responsibility was to remain calm and to control myself in various situations. We were given some fruit and we just had to eat the fruit.

"That was a really funny one. I was partnered with Chloe [Veitch] and she made me laugh so much as she was pretending to be an animal and making animal noises as she was eating.

"I did a terrible job of trying to keep my heart rate down."

Now that the show has wrapped up (again, for now at least), if you want to know which couples are still together and which ones have split up, we've done some snooping around and found out.

Too Hot to Handle is available to stream on Netflix.
