Top rated Gateshead Indian restaurant confirms opening of new venue in Newcastle
A top rated Indian restaurant and many people's pick for being the 'best in Gateshead' has expanded to move across the water and open in Newcastle for the first time.
Located on Sunderland Road in Felling, Sajis has been dishing up top notch cuisine for decades now, with the fact is has so many returning customers testament to just how good the food is on its menu. And now, people on the other side of the River Tyne are being given the opportunity to see what all the fuss is about as this week Sajis opened its doors on Adelaide Terrace in the Benwell area of Newcastle.
Loyal Saji diners from Gateshead will quickly notice that the food on offer at the new branch is slightly different, with the eat-in and takeaway options also including pizzas and doner kebabs, on top of the traditional curries Sajis is best known for.

Announcing their launch in Newcastle on their Facebook page, Sajis wrote: "We have great pleasure in announcing the opening of our new branch in Newcastle Upon Tyne. This is thanks to the ever growing support of all our customers, friends and family. We look forward to seeing you."
Followers were quick to share in the team's excitement, with one responding: "If its anything like the restaurant it will be tremendous" and another writing: "This will be amazing just like Sunderland road restaurant. Can’t wait to try. really nice people."
Saji's Gateshead restaurant has a perfect score of 5 on Trip Advisor, with its in the top five for the whole of the area. Heaping praise on the food and the staff, one reviewer posted: "Best Indian restaurant around in my opinion, foods tremendous and the staff are great. Been here a few times now, and even when they're busy the waits never too long and always worth it."
Equally as impressed, a second enthused: "I don't live in Gateshead but from now on i wont be going anywhere else for my Indians," with another glowing review reading: "food was sensational, staff are brilliant. why would you go anywhere else. 10 out of 10"
