Tornado Churns Near Kokomo, Indiana, Mall

A tornado touched down, causing damage, in Kokomo, Indiana, on Wednesday, August 24. A local news report said a Starbucks in the town was flattened by the tornado. The National Weather Service called the storm “particularly dangerous.” There also were reports of limbs down and roofs blown off homes. There were no reported injuries.
