As Tornado Reported in North Carolina Storm Leaves Trail of Destruction

A tornado left a trail of destruction in North Carolina, on April 19, the National Weather Service reported.

Tornado warnings were in place for Chapel Hill on April 19, with a confirmed tornado about 30 miles away in Siler City. That tornado was “on the ground for roughly two minutes downing trees/power-lines and damaging roofs of structures,” according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
