Torquay United try to put the embarrassment of FA Cup behind them
Will Jenkins Davies could be in the starting line up as torquay-united-fc>Torquay United try to put the embarrassment of their FA Cup exit to Bishops Cleeve behind at Plainmoor on Saturday.
St Albans City, the team currently at the bottom of the National League South table, are fifth-placed Torquay's visitors on a day that manager Paul Wotton wants the fans to get behind the players following that brutal 3-0 defeat last weekend.
A lot has been said about that game this week, but Wotton wants, at some points, 'a line to be draw under it', and what better way to do that than perform weil against a team that he feels is in a false position,

Along with Jenkins Davies, the 19-year-old who joined the squad on loan from Plymouth Argyle this week, Wotton hopes to have injured duo Jay Foulston and Dan Hayfield back - and this means there could be a handful of changes from the team that started at Bishops Cleeve.
"The FA Cup game has shadowed the start to our season, which has been good," said Wotton at his press conference on Thursday. "So hopefully we can get a positive result on Saturday. It's not about getting back on the rails, we are not off the rails. We have had a bad afternoon and I am convinced there will be a reaction. I don't know what the result will be but hopefully it's a positive one.
"I think St Albans are in a false position. [St Albans manager] David Noble is somebody I respect hugely. He was a fantastic player, I played against him many times - and he has got a specific way of playing football. He does it his way which I admire.
"They are going to come down here and they will enjoy the pitch. They will enjoy the occasion and it is up to us, hopefully with a packed-out Plainmoor again ... we are going to have to be on it. To be honest with you, it's a game we can't wait for because there has to be a reaction from last Saturday's game."
Midfielder Jenkins Davies was on loan for most of last season, with a slight break in the middle while he was injured, but returns to Torquay for a new manager. It was Gary Johnson who loaned him last time out and the Bovey Tracey lad finished his time at the club with Aaron Downes in charge. But Wotton, who was the manager of Truro City in the National South last season, knows what the young player is all about.
Wotton said: "He is a player that I have known for a long, long time. He played a lot of Plymouth Argyle academy games with my son, so I have known about him for years. He did very, very well for Torquay last year. He brings tremendous energy, he brings a will to win, he wants to do well, and he nicks a goal from midfield as well, which is very, very important."
