Tory MP Penny Mordaunt Brings Her Own Cat To Westminster To Tackle Mice Infestation

Conservative MP Penny Mordaunt has had enough of the mice infestation at Westminster - so has brought in her own cat to deal with the problem.

Ms Mordaunt, the Minister of State for Disabled People, Work & Health, brought in Burmese Titania to help out the other political moggies - Larry, Palmerston and Gladstone - in their quest.

She tweeted: “A great believer in credible deterrence, I’m applying the principle to the lower ministerial corridor mouse problem.”

Burmese cats are known for their energy and it is hoped Titania will use it to tackle the mice issue once and for all.

A spokesman for the minister added to The Telegraph: "Titania is not a permanent fixture, but made a mouse-deterring visit and proved very popular.”

MPs have been asking for their own cats to live permanently at Westminster to combat the issue of mice and rats.

As long as they don’t get expenses - no one wants another scandal.
