Toby Alderweireld has said Tottenham must be wary of Marko Arnautovic in this weekend's London derby against West Ham.

Spurs travel to the London Stadium at the beginning a crucial week so early in the season, with PSV in the Champions League and Manchester City to follow.

The Austrian has, despite £100million of spending in east London over the summer, remained the talisman for the Hammers.

While the former Stoke man is currently managing an injury which saw him left out of Austria's second game in the international break, Alderweireld knows the threat he can pose.

"Arnautovic is a very good, player. He is quick, smart, strong and he can score," the Spurs man said.

"He's an all-round player so we have to be at our top level to beat them.

"It's a derby and it's always difficult there."

Tottenham's England contingent enjoyed a successful international break, and Alderweireld is hoping that carries back to club football.

"Hopefully they bring back that form," he added.
