Tottenham crash: Driver rushed to hospital after hit and run in north London

A man has been rushed to hospital following a reported hit and run in north London.

Metropolitan Police officers swarmed to St Anne’s Road, Tottenham, after a smash between two cars.

The crash happened around 8.15pm at the junction with High Road, Scotland Yard confirmed.

A spokesman told the Standard the driver of the second car fled the scene.

The driver of the first car was taken to hospital by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service.

The man’s age and condition is currently unknown.

Dramatic images from the scene showed a large police cordon and several patrol cars blocking the busy street.
