Tottenham fixtures: Pre-season tour friendlies, tickets, International Champions Cup 2018 TV coverage, schedule in full
Tottenham begin pre-season with a renewed sense of optimism after star assets Mauricio Pochettino and Harry Kane signed contract extensions.
The prospect of Real Madrid was not enough to persuade Pochettino to leave his project in north London, while the long-awaited new stadium awaits in September.
Regarding pre-season preparations, many of Tottenham's squad will be absent from the United States tour and, therefore, the money-spinning International Champions Cup commitments against Roma, Barcelona and AC Milan due to the World Cup.
England’s Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Kieran Trippier, Eric Dier and Danny Rose plus Belgium's Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld and Mousa Dembele and World Cup-winning France captain Hugo Lloris will likely be given three weeks off.
This means their sole involvement in pre-season is expected to be the final run out against Girona on August 4, just a week before facing Newcastle on the opening day of the Premier League season.
