Tottenham Hotspur have been tipped to sign one of Leeds United's young stars this summer.

Ange Postecoglou's side finished fifth in the Premier League last term, narrowly missing out on UEFA Champions League qualification after what was an up-and-down campaign for the Lilywhites. Much had been made of their progress under the former Celtic boss, especially after Harry Kane's departure in the summer.

Bidding to strengthen in the upcoming transfer window, a plethora of Leeds United stars have been tipped for an exit, including Willy Gnonto, Crysencio Summerville and Archie Gray. The latter has been linked with a move to North London in recent weeks, with his age and versatility said to be two standout assets for on-watching clubs.

Former Spurs defender Alan Hutton has cited a potential swap deal for Joe Rodon as grounds for the transfer to happen, but admits some sort of a fee is likely to be involved, should the transfer take off this summer.

“It would have to be big cash, not just Rodon, I think it would be a lot of money on top of that” he recently told Football Insider. "He’s had an outstanding season. The guy has played at full-back, played in midfield, played as a number ten, the list goes on.

“I think he’s only going to get better. He plays with such freedom and it’s refreshing to see. The way Ange plays, that’s perfectly suited to him. He’s comfortable coming inside and taking the ball with his back to play and getting forward with his ability to cross into the box. He’s so young as well.

“It’s going to be a big fee, but looking to the future, if they can bring someone like him in now, he could be there for years to come. That would be a brilliant signing for them.”
