Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino says he is expecting an "open game" in today's Premier League clash at Everton.

Spurs welcome the Toffees to White Hart Lane in fine form, having avoided defeat in 13 top-flight fixtures on home turf this season.

The north Londoners also boast the best defensive record in the division and have conceded just 18 goals - nine less than their opponents.

But Ronald Koeman's side have not tasted defeat since mid-December and Pochettino believes an entertaining encounter is on the cards. as his players attempt to cut Chelsea's lead at the top.

"The style of Everton is to play football along the grass and they are very dynamic team, I’m sure it will be an open game," he told Tottenham's official website.

"Everton are doing well, they have very good players and it’s a tough game for us.

"We have a big possibility to win and to keep our position in the table but at the same time, we play against a tough opponent," Pochettino added.

Tottenham's home record has been key to their rise this season and the club may yet be able to go the entire season without defeat in N17.

But Pochettino is in no mood to dwell on the achievement ahead of the Premier League run-in.

"Maybe in the future we’ll say ‘what a good run’.

"But today, we need to focus on the next day, to win the next game and to keep our position in the table. That’s our challenge," the Argentine coach added.
