Tottenham's Argentina trio Erik Lamela, Juan Foyth and Paulo Gazzaniga are doubts for the London derby against Chelsea on Saturday.

The players were in Argentina’s squad for Tuesday night’s 2-0 friendly win over Mexico, which kicked-off at midnight UK time in Mendoza.

Lamela was replaced after an hour, Gazzaniga came on for the final 30 minutes and Foyth was an unused substitute.

The trio were due to begin the journey back to London on Wednesday but they are not expected at the club until Friday, leaving them with an outside chance of starting the match at Wembley.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is reluctant to throw players straight into the first XI with limited preparation time.

He should, however, be able to call on a rested Heung-min Son, who missed South Korea’s friendlies against Australia and Uzbekistan.

Foyth’s likely absence should be offset by the return of Davinson Sanchez after a hamstring problem, while Christian Eriksen could start for the first time in four league games after being replaced at half-time of Denmark’s draw with the Republic of Ireland on Monday.
