Heung-min Son has put pen to paper to commit his future to Tottenham with a new long-term contract until 2023.

Son, 26, has signed a new five-year deal to remain in north London after becoming one of Mauricio Pochettino's most lethal forwards.

The South Korea international struggled during his first season in England following a £22million move from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015, scoring eight goals in 40 appearances.

However, Son struck 21 goals during the 2016-17 season, and followed that up with 18 more last term to make his mark in the Premier League.

Son made history last season as he became the top Asian scorer in Premier League history, overtaking former Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-Sung with a goal against Crystal Palace in November 2017.

Spurs have confirmed that following his holidays after the World Cup, Son will now join up with the rest of the squad for their pre-season tour of the United States.
