Tottenham team news: Vincent Janssen leads the line as Harry Kane named on the bench

Harry Kane has been included on Tottenham's bench for this afternoon's Premier League clash against Watford.

Kane suffered ankle ligament damage last month but has made a speedy recovery to hand Mauricio Pochettino's side a boost ahead of the run-in.

Vincent Janssen will lead Tottenham's frontline, having starred in Wednesday's impressive comeback at Swansea.

Captain Hugo Lloris has recovered from illness to take his place between the sticks with Spurs set to line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Spurs, who are unbeaten on home turf this season, are aiming to cut Chelsea's lead to four points ahead of the Blues' trip to Bournemouth this evening.

Watford occupy 10th place in the table and are closing in on the magical 40-point mark but are without several key players at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham XI: Lloris (C), Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies, Dier, Dembele, Son, Eriksen, Dele, Janssen.

Tottenham subs: Lopez, Walker, Wimmer, Nkoudou, Sissoko, Wanyama, Kane.

Watford XI: Gomes (GK) (c); Mariappa, Cathcart, Holebas; Janmaat, Cleverley, Doucouré, Amrabat; Niang, Okaka, Success.

Watford subs: Pantilimon (GK), Kabasele, Eleftheriou, Mason, Zúñiga, Capoue, Deeney.
