Two of the Premier League's leading goalscorers will do battle at White Hart Lane on Saturday as Harry Kane's Tottenham welcome Romelu Lukaku and Everton.

Spurs thrashed Stoke 4-0 last weekend to go second in the table, with Kane's hat-trick drawing him level with Lukaku at the top of the goal rankings with 17 strikes apiece.

Mauricio Pochettino's side may need a miracle to beat Chelsea to the title, but Spurs fans will be in high spirits given rivals Arsenal slipped up at Liverpool on Saturday - offering real hopes of avoiding a 'St Totteringham's Day' slip like last season.

Everton may prove tough opponents with Lukaku leading the line for the seventh-placed Toffeees, but Spurs are riding the crest of a wave of optimism as supporters say goodbye to the Lane before the stadium is redeveloped.

Toby Alderweireld (groin) remains a doubt for the Sunday clash after being taken off against Stoke.

The Belgian was withdrawn early in the second half, with Mauricio Pochettino confirming at full-time it was a precautionary measure.

Jan Vertonghen (hamstring) also went off but is available, along with Harry Kane who clattered against a post during the 4-0 win.

Danny Rose remains out, with Pochettino estimating "a number of weeks", while Erik Lamela

Everton have experimented with a 3-4-2-1 set-up similar to Tottenham's this season, and both teams could deploy the same formation at White Hart Lane if, as Pochettino hopes, Vertonghen and Alderweireld are passed fit.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin could be in contention for a return to the squad after two months out with an ankle injury.

Muhamed Besic (knee) has also returned to training after missing the whole season but needs more time to get match fit while winger Yannick Bolasie is a long-term absentee.
