Tottenham XI vs Aston Villa: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Premier League today

Nuno Espirito Santo has made three changes to his Tottenham team for their clash with Aston Villa today.

Nuno came in for heavy criticism for the way he set his side up at Emirates Stadium and is under huge pressure following three straight Premier League losses.

Olivier Skipp has come into the Spurs side in place of Dele Alli, who was hooked at half-time at Emirates Stadium.

New signing Cristian Romero has also come into the defence after an assured display in Thursday’s 5-1 Europa Conference League win over Slovenian minnows NS Mura, with Davinson Sanchez losing his spot.

The third and final change sees Emerson Royal come into the defence, with Japhet Tanganga missing out on the squad altogether.

Spurs will hope Harry Kane’s hat-trick against Mura can ignite his season. The England captain is yet to score in the Premier League this season.

Nuno is again without Steven Bergwijn due to injury. Ryan Sessegnon also remains sidelined.

Tottenham starting XI (4-3-3): Lloris; Emerson, Romero, Dier, Reguilon; Skipp, Hojbjerg; Lucas Moura, Ndombele, Son; Kane.

Subs: Doherty, Sanchez, Winks, Gil Salvatierra, Rodon, Lo Celso, Alli, Gollini, Scarlett.
