Touching Photographs Show Pet Owners’ Final Moments With Beloved Animals

There are few relationships as strong as the near unbreakable bond between man and animals.

But a series of heart-breaking images have shown the moment that dog and cat owners said a final goodbye to their beloved pets, and contrasted them with the first time they ever met their four legged friends.

In the photos, which were posted on Reddit, the enthusiasm and youthfulness of the animals in the first pictures can be seen contrasted against the desperate state of the animals on their deathbed.

And in one particularly poignant snap, a young boy can be seen reading a book with his beloved dachshund, with the same snap lovingly recreated one final time.

Describing the final moments with his dog, one user wrote: ‘13 years ago when I first met my dog, [and] here he is at the park. We took him one last time and let him roam wherever he wanted.’
