Tourism Bosses Red-Faced After New Zealand Promo Clip Shows Van Driving On Wrong Side Of Road

Tourism chiefs in New Zealand have been left red-faced after a promo video showed a camper van driving on the wrong side of the road.

The clip, which sees the vehicle on the right and not left-hand-side of a road, racked up 300,000 views after being uploaded to YouTube.

But it’s now been pulled.

Tourism New Zealand said the video had been made by American producer Devin Graham.

And spokeswoman Deborah Gray said the organisation would be talking to him before deciding what to do next.

“We will seek to have a conversation about whether it’s a re-post or whether it’s essentially pulled,” Gray told the New Zealand Herald.

Gray later claimed to Stuff.nz that the error had come after the producer flipped the image to make it look better.

Tourism Ministers said it was a “a disappointing mistake,” according to the BBC.

New Zealand motorists drive on the left-hand side of the road, just like in the United Kingdom.
