Tourist dies in reported drowning in Guam

HAGATNA, Guam (AP) — Authorities in Guam say a 63-year-old tourist has died after a reported drowning.

Guam Fire Department Lt. Edward Artero tells The Pacific Daily News (http://is.gd/4257iW) that they were called about 1:30 p.m. to Ypao Beach. When they arrived, the unnamed man was already on the beach.

Medics performed CPR on the man, both on the beach and en route to the hospital. But a nursing supervisor at Guam Memorial Hospital, Maria Mafnas, says the man was pronounced dead about 2 p.m.
