If watching Pete Wicks and Megan McKenna blow up at each other (and others) for the 935,763rd time on The Only Way is Essex has left you longing for the good ol' days, then Chloe Sims has some good news for you: some familiar faces are coming back.

Yep, it looks like we'll see some of the original Essex gang pop up in TOWIE's upcoming series after Chloe dropped the bombshell casually in her Star magazine column.

"We're going to start filming TOWIE in August. I had a photo call for some promo shots last week, so everyone had a catch-up," she teased (via The Sun). "There are a few old faces coming back, but I can't reveal who just yet!"

Chloe first appeared on TOWIE in the show's second run in 2011, so that gives us roughly 18 series of "old faces" to speculate on before we find out who exactly is making their comeback. And it looks like Chloe herself is pretty happy to revisit the ghost of TOWIE members past too.

"It'll be nice to have some of the originals back," she continued. "It was too focused on the fame-hungry newbies last series."

Well, it's not like she called her cast mates a "bunch of wankers" like Tommy Mallet did, but we imagine there'll be some slightly disgruntled newbies on the streets of Essex when that filming does start next month.

Between this and Lauren Goodger directing a furious rant at her former boyfriend (and TOWIE co-star) Mark Wright earlier this month, we can already tell that there's a whole lot of nostalgia and/or drama coming our way.

At least Chloe's love life is a little less dramatic at the moment after recently publicly sharing that she's in a relationship with Abz from 5ive, sending the hopes of those noughties-boyband-loving TOWIE fans skyrocketing that Abz could be set for a cameo of his very own on the show.

The Only Way is Essex airs on ITVBe.
