The Only Way is Essex star Gemma Collins has said that she would "love" to do Strictly Come Dancing.

The reality star is no stranger to competition shows, having competed on Dancing on Ice back in 2019. But now she's ready to swap out the ice rink for the dance floor.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, Gemma revealed: "Do you know what, I would love to do it. They had a plus-size girl [comedian Jayde Adams] on there last year. I would do Strictly, so we'll see what happens."

Previously, Gemma came to Tilly Ramsay's defence after she was body-shamed during her time on Strictly.

Referring to LBC DJ Steve Allen calling Tilly "a chubby little thing", Gemma wrote on Instagram: "I was so upset about the targeting of @tillyramsay and then I got attached to the story because of someone being cruel about me. Do you know what guys, it does upset you when it gets brought to light."

As someone who is promoting body positivity, Gemma told OK! that she no longer cares what people think of her.

"I'm not a supermodel – I'm successful and living proof that you don't have to conform to society. I am very beautiful as I am. You have to be in love with yourself whatever shape or size you are and why should I conform to what society thinks is beautiful?"

In other news, Gemma recently branded the current iteration of TOWIE as "terrible" and said she wouldn't be tempted into returning.

"I watched it the other night and I'll never get those minutes of my life back," she said (via The Mirror). "What's happened? There were about two scenes in it. Chloe Brockett was good, and the new girl Elma [Pazar], but the rest of them were terrible. There's no stars there, darling – we were stars."

Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
