Congratulations are in order for former TOWIE stars Georgia Kousoulou and Tommy Mallet, who have announced the birth of their second child together.

The couple shared the happy news with fans via a joint Instagram post, revealing that they have welcomed a baby girl named Gigi.

"Introducing you... GIGI Fordham. Born on 22 November, weighing 7 pound 12," they captioned some sweet photos with their newborn in the hospital.

"Our darling girl, we are so in love, our hearts could burst. Thank you god for answering our prayers."

Fans and famous friends were quick to share their congratulations in the post's comments section, including the couple's former TOWIE co-star Chloe Lewis, who wrote: "Beautiful. Love you all."

"She is so cute...congratulations lovelies," added Saffron Lempriere, while Sam Mucklow commented a series of heart emojis.

Georgia and Tommy first met on TOWIE back in 2014, going on to get engaged in February 2022 before officially tying the knot last December. They welcomed their first child together, a son named Brody, in May 2021.

It seems baby Gigi arrived slightly earlier than expected, as Georgia announced earlier this year that their "rainbow baby" was due in December.

"Our little rainbow baby due December. Words can’t express the emotions we have, we have prayed, wished and with a little help it’s happened," she captioned an emotional video documenting her journey with IVF.

The pregnancy announcement came after the couple experienced a devastating loss in 2023.

Explaining why she and Tommy continued to film their ITVX series Baby Steps in spite of the trauma, Georgia said: "There's often silence over a loss of a baby because a lot of people don't know what to say or how to say it, but for me I have wanted and needed to talk about my [baby] because I wanted to acknowledge the love and excitement I felt."

Organisations including Sands and Tommy's are able to offer help and support to anyone affected by baby loss.
