TOWIE's James Argent hits back at "unprofessional" Jason Gardiner
Dancing on Ice has been buzzing this week with a number of stories circulating around contestant Gemma Collins. Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield suggested she was unprofessional and there were even reports that The Only Way is Essex star wanted to quit the dancing show.
On top of everything else, judge Jason Gardiner went on to call her "lazy" and claimed that he was "too busy" to watch reality shows that made Collins famous. Ouch.
However, TOWIE star James Argent is now stepping in to defend his girlfriend, hitting back at Gardiner's remarks which he called "unprofessional" and "disgusting".
Selling stories & lies for money and publicity. Your supposed to be judging the routine & giving your opinion. Not slating a contestant who you’ve only just met, You haven’t given her a chance! It’s disgusting & unprofessional. She’s worked so hard & tried. What’s your problem!? https://t.co/8mUMpfCZw0

Responding to the ice dance judge, Argent wrote in a Twitter post today (January 19): "Selling stories & lies for money and publicity. Your supposed to be judging the routine & giving your opinion. Not slating a contestant who you’ve only just met.
"You haven’t given her a chance! It’s disgusting & unprofessional. She’s worked so hard & tried. What’s your problem!?"
Many fans went on to show their support for Collins, praising Arg for stepping up to support his girlfriend and co-star.
Well done Arg for sticking up for your lady!

Speaking to The Sun earlier this week, Gardiner didn't have the nicest things to say about the reality star as claimed that he was not aware of the "phenomenon that is Gemma Collins".
He continued: "What I don’t want is it to become is a pantomime. I don’t want people to destroy the great legacy the show has already achieved... Quit the BS and just apply yourself. I don’t want to watch a circus."
Dancing on Ice continues this Sunday night (January 20) at 6pm on ITV.
