Town centre dispersal order issued this weekend after 'reports involving children'

A dispersal order will be in place over the weekend following reports of anti-social behaviour in a Nottinghamshire town. The police order applies to Bulwell town centre and the surrounding streets.

The Section 34 Dispersal Order means those involved in criminal activity or anti social behaviour can be told to leave the area. And those who do not leave when told to do so can be arrested.

Bulwell, Rise Park and Highbury Vale Police announced the order, which will be in place until 2.30pm on Sunday (January 19). Police said in a post on Facebook today (Friday, January 17): "Please be aware that this is a Section 34 Dispersal Order in place until 14.30 on 19/01/2025 after several reports of Anti Social Behaviour, generally involving children.

"This order allows officers to direct anyone engaging, or reasonably believed to be engaging in Anti-Social Behaviour to leave the area. Anyone that fails to leave the area when directed will be arrested.

"Anyone under the age of 16 believed to be engaging in ASB will be returned to their home addresses. Boundary of Carey Road, Cantrell Road, Station Road, Bulwell Bogs, Bulwell High Rd, Commercial Road, Rock Street, Squires Avenue, Main Street and Hucknall Lane extending down to Leen Drive, as per map below within the red lines."
