Town's 'worry' for missing mum after 'scary' disappearance from Malton
Malton residents have shared their ‘worry’ for a missing mum who disappeared without a trace as they ‘pray she gets home safe’.
A huge police search is underway to find Victoria Taylor, 34, who was last seen at an address in Malton at around 9am on Monday, September 30. Originally from Huddersfield, the police have launched a number of appeals to find her, but have so far been unsuccessful.
Police have conducted searches of the River Derwent near Malton which will resume on Thursday, October 3. Friends and family have also organised their own search operations as they desperately try to find the mum.

Victoria's best friend, Charlotte Cundill has been rallying the community to keep up the search and has set up Facebook page " The search for Vixx ", where she has urged the community to keep sharing and circulating pictures of Victoria. She says on Wednesday alone, she handed out 120 missing person posters, many of which are being displayed in shop windows across Malton.
Those who live in Malton have reacted to Vicky’s disappearance, sharing their “worry” as they “hope she comes home safe soon”.
Louisa, 33, told Yorkshire Live : “I’ve seen the posters all over town today. She’s pretty much the same age as me. It’s awful thinking about what might have happened to her. I hope she’s safe and that they find her soon.”
Janet, 55, from Malton said: “It’s really worrying. I read that she’s a mum too, which makes it even more scary. I hope they get her home safe soon.”
Angela, 46, also from Malton said: “The whole town is worried about her. We all want to see her home safe.”
Mike said: “It’s very worrying. I think the whole of Malton is worried, especially knowing she has a child at home. I pray to God they get her home safe.”
Comments have also flooded in on the Facebook page " The search for Vixx ", from concerned residents who are keen to help the search efforts. Aimee Bruce wrote: “My husband is a wagon driver and constantly on the look out wherever he is. Praying she is found safe soon.”
Pat Woollard wrote: “My husband has checked the church and surrounding areas in north Grimston on his walk but nothing, I just pray there will be good news soon xx.”
Kerry Leogue said: “So concerned for Victoria hoping and praying she is found quickly so safe and well as everyone's thoughts of love to all family and friends xxx”

Anyone with information is urged to contact the police immediately. Inspector Leanne Anderson from North Yorkshire Police said: “There are a range of enquiries taking place to try and locate Victoria. This is still a missing person enquiry, and the focus of our activity is within the Malton / Norton area."
