TRAFFIC: Highway resurfacing begins in Barbour, Henry Counties

WIREGRASS (WDHN) — On Wednesday, the Alabama Department of Transportation started a resurfacing project on Alabama State Route 10 in Barbour and Henry Counties.

The approximate 11-mile project will consist of milling, resurfacing, and striping on SR-10 from County Road 41 in Blue Springs, and just past County Road 25, west of Abbeville.

Lane closures and reduced speed limits are expected throughout the project. A pilot car will be used to assist drivers during lane closures.

Motorists are reminded to plan for delays and be mindful of crews and equipment in the work zone.

The project is expected to be completed by Fall 2024.
