Traffic moving on M6 but delays still ongoing after day of chaos on the motorway
Traffic is moving on the M6 after a day of delays following a serious incident of Friday.
However there are still delays of around 10 minutes for motorists heading north between junctions 26 Standish and 28 Leyland.
All traffic came to a halt on the motorway when a lorry overturned on the north bound carriageway at around 2pm. Seven people were injured when a car, a lorry and a campervan crashed as cargo was spilled across the motorway. It is not thought any of the injuries were serious.

An air ambulance landed at the scene and the motorway was closed in both directions as diversions were put in place. The central reservation was badly damaged by the impact.
Cameras show congestion remains on the northbound route. In the latest update, National Highways say they expect normal travel to resume shortly.
Their latest update says: "There are currently delays of 10 minutes against expected traffic. There are currently delays of 10 minutes against expected traffic."
