Tragedy after casualty found dead on tracks as Cheshire rail services cancelled
Police have confirmed a casualty was found dead on a set of train tracks as a number of Cheshire services were suspended. Lines between Chester and Llandudno have been impacted after emergency services were called to the scene near Connah's Quay.
CheshireLive had reported how all lines between the two destinations were blocked. In response Transport for Wales (TfW) advised that replacement buses provided by Llew Jones and Keanes will be put on as an alternative.
Now British Transport Police (BTP) says emergency services were called at 9am this morning. A spokeswoman said: "Officers were called to a report of a casualty on the tracks near Connahs Quay.

"Officers and paramedics attended and sadly a person was pronounced deceased. The incident is not thought to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
National Rail has now confirmed that all lines have reopened. However there are delays and normal service won't be fully resumed until around 4pm.
