Trail of destruction after bus ploughs into cars leaving 16 injured
This footage shows the trail of destruction left behind after a bus ploughed into a number of vehicles in Dartford last night.
Kent Police say that a total of 25 vehicles, including the bus, were damaged in the incident, which occurred in the town centre at around 6.50pm on Tuesday evening.
16 people were injured, 14 of whom required medical treatment at the scene.
One man remains in police custody following the crash.
‘A man has been arrested on suspicion of careless driving and remains in police custody’, a police spokesperson confirmed.
Kent Police said: ‘Crews worked with SECAmb paramedics to look after a number of people suffering from minor injuries.
‘One person required oxygen following the incident.’
Although the cause of the incident is yet to be officially confirmed, images on social media show a 480 Arriva bus to Gravesend that appears to have ploughed into the back of a number of vehicles.
