Service on part of East-West MRT line resumed after train fault cleared

SINGAPORE — SMRT on Monday night (30 August) reported a train fault and advised commuters travelling between Joo Koon and Tuas Link stations to add 25 minutes to their travel time.

The train operator first tweeted about the fault at 7.44pm. In a tweet at 7.55pm, SMRT said that there are free and regular bus services between the two stations and its station staff would assist commuters.

SMRT later tweeted at 8.14pm to say train services have resumed after the fault was cleared and that free bus services have ceased. It tweeted at 8.16pm to say services resumed at 8.08pm.
