Our last-standing Traitor and fake Welshie, Charlotte, will have to try and convince Alexander, Frankie, Jake and Leanne that she is a Faithful. But now the odds are further stacked against her, after Frankie, holder of The Seer power, chose to have Charlotte’s true nature revealed to her in a one-on-one meeting.
And fans have been going wild online with theories about how the show will play out. One suggested: “Charlotte and Frankie will go at each other for being traitors resulting in them being voted out first . Alexander will get voted out because people have doubts. Jake and Leanne will win.”
Others suggested that it could be game over for Charlotte after her fellow traitor, Freddie, voted for her at the round-table last night before he was banished. One person said: “Spoils the game, if they have the option to vote each other he may as well have said Charlotte recruited me last night, job done. No heat on Charlotte and he votes her, shows a forgone conclusion now, Frankie and Charlotte out, the rest win.”
Ahead of tonight's final, let’s delve deeper into who the five finalists are, their lives outside the castle and how they feel about being at the last round table.
Alexander
Alexander, 38, re-joined The Traitors after nobly giving up his spot in the first episode. He has since won over TV audiences and become a favourite on the show.
The ex-British diplomat believed that his prior career would give him a decent leg up in the game. He previously said: "I've lived around the world, working with everyone from victims of attacks or natural disasters, local tribes, schoolchildren, politicians and briefly royalty.
"I'm meant to build relationships for a living, so I'd like to think I have a good radar for who I can trust! Either way, I'm looking forward to meeting some people with interesting backgrounds in the castle."
Alexander also revealed that he has been affected by the death of his brother, who had a global development delay. In an emotional moment, he told his fellow contestants he would like to give some of the money to the summer camp his brother used to attend.
Charlotte
Business director Charlotte, 33, is the show's last-standing Traitor. Charlotte revealed that she would like to use some of the prize money to help fund fertility treatment with her husband.
She also suggested she’d like to use the money for a safari holiday, so it's a safe bet that she’s a fan of animals. Charlotte often shares photographs of her family and their Labrador Bobbie in the countryside.
Charlotte decided to put on a fake Welsh accent for the show, despite originally coming from London. So if she makes it to the end, the fellow contestants will have a double shock at her true identity.
Frankie
Frankie is a 44-year-old interior designer and mum of three boys who hails from East Sussex. She’s been bestowed with the powerful gift of being The Seer, and chosen Traitor Charlotte, for a one on one meeting to reveal her true nature.
She said: “Winning the show would mean so much to me on so many different levels. It would be so lovely for my sons to see me win and to see me doing something different. To prove to them that anything is possible.
"On a personal level as well, it’s probably one of the greatest challenges I’ve ever taken on, so it would mean a lot to me for my sense of self as well.” The interior designer said that if she were to win she would put the money towards her children who are the “motivations of [her] life.”
Jake
Traitor-hunter Jake has earned himself a reputation for being able to sniff out a liar. He was dead-set on the guilt of Traitor Linda, who was booted off in episode seven, from the get-go.
But offscreen, 28-year-old Jake is both project manager and husband to his wife Sharon Brown. Jake revealed that he lives with cerebral palsy which affects his right arm and leg.
He said: "I’d want to treat my wife and my mum and dad to a nice big holiday to just show my appreciation of them, for everything they’ve done for me. And then on top of that, I'd like to put some money into my house, because I didn’t realise before I bought a house that it's just money draining! There are so many things I ought to do to the house, but there's just no money there, so I'd like to put some towards that."
Leanne
Leanne, 28, is a former soldier from North Wales who has entered the game under the guise of a nail technician. At home she is happily partnered up with finance Sophie Jones, who she shares twin boys with.
The pair had a rollercoaster journey becoming mums as their baby boys came premature. Leanne posted to Instagram alongside a photograph in hospital with her sons: “I can’t believe one whole year ago today we were finally able to take our little micro preemie babies home after a long three months in intensive care. What a year it’s been with my little family, luckiest mummies alive.”
Leanne said that she would like to spend the prize money on having another baby. She said: “I would love to go through IVF again. I went through IVF with my boys, and I was very poorly throughout my pregnancy, and then I went into early labour at six months. The boys were only 26 weeks when they were born. Because I was so poorly at the time I feel I missed out on enjoying that newborn stage. I'm so so grateful to have them, and I'm so lucky that they're alive.”
