Yahoo News ‘The Traitors’ Nabs Season 3 Renewal at Peacock
The Traitors is set for another round of clandestine plotting.
Peacock has renewed its breakout competition show for a third season. The pickup comes midway through season two of The Traitors, which which has become the NBCUniversal streamer’s biggest unscripted show to date.

According to Peacock, the show will make its first appearance on the Nielsen streaming charts for the week of Jan. 15-21, with about 384 million minutes of viewing time. (The full Nielsen charts lag by several weeks and will be available in mid-February.) It’s the first unscripted show on Peacock to make any streaming top 10 ranking. The Traitors is also coming off its first Emmy win, for outstanding casting for a reality series.
Alan Cumming (sporting an array of amazing outfits) hosts The Traitors, in which a group of players — most of whom were part of other reality competitions — competing for a cash prize. A few of the contestants, however, are secretly traitors who stand to grab a bigger share of the money if they eliminate all of the “Faithful.”
The show is based on a Dutch format. Studio Lambert produces The Traitors for Peacock, with Stephen Lambert, Mike Cotton, Toni Ireland, Sam Rees-Jones, Tim Harcourt and Jack Burgess executive producing. Cumming is a producer.
New episodes of The Traitors stream Thursdays on Peacock. The season finale and a reunion episode are set to debut March 7.
