Welcome to the Evening Standard’s live coverage of the January Transfer Window, with just two days left to negotiate those late deals.

Manchester United finally look set to land Bruno Fernandes TODAY after making a breakthrough in talks with Sporting on Tuesday, with the Red Devils set to pay €55million (£46.5m) up front for the midfielder, who will sign a four-and-a-half-year contract.

Meanwhile, Tottenham have moved rapidly to replace Christian Eriksen by announcing a £25m deal for PSV winger Steven Bergwijn, while Pablo Mari has become the first signing of the Mikel Arteta era at Arsenal.

And to make things a little more interesting... Spurs are also looking into a shock move for Chelsea striker (and Arsenal cult hero) Olivier Giroud, though he fears the deal could be blocked.
