Transgender People, Allies Protest in Front of White House

Transgender people and allies rallied outside the White House in Washington, DC, on October 22, to protest the Trump administration’s reported plan to narrow the definition of gender for federal programs.

A report by the New York Times published on October 21, said the administration was “considering narrowly defining gender as a biological, immutable condition determined by genitalia at birth,” in an undoing of a more flexible Obama-era guidance.
