Kris Jenner had to cut filming the current season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

While talking to the cameras about her daughter Kim Kardashian West being held at gunpoint in Paris, the momager completely broke down.

"It is the most devastating thing to have one of your children fearing for their life, thinking that at any moment, they are going to die when they have two small children," she said tearfully.

"Just the thought of losing Kim is emotionally scarring and hard to overcome.

"That's it. I can't talk about this anymore," she said before needing to take some time out from filming.

Last October, the entire Kardashian clan were left traumatised when a group of robbers dressed as police officers broke into Kim's hotel room.

The men held her at gunpoint and gagged and tied her up, before stealing the star's jewellery, thought to be worth several million dollars.

Before the second episode of the latest KUWTK season was aired, Kim took to social media and explained to fans why she decided to allow the ordeal to be discussed on the reality show.

She wrote: "Tonight's episode is going to be very tough for me. However, I thought it was important to share this story through my eyes & not in an interview where my own words could be twisted.

"I have always shared so much & I'm not going to hold back when this was probably one of the most life changing experiences for me. I would never wish this experience upon anyone, but have learned some valuable lessons & feel so blessed to be safe home with my babies & husband.

"to my friends, family, and loved ones I can't thank you enough for being there when I needed you the most. To the French police, thank you for your incredible hard work. *This was our last family photo taken in Paris."

Kim then added: "I took a tragic horrific experience and did not let it diminish me, rather grew and evolved and allowed the experience to teach me. I can say I've become so much better because of it....thank you for allowing me to share my story tonight."

Keeping up with the Kardashians is on E!, Sundays at 9pm.
