'Travel Not Advised' as Blizzard Slams Fargo Area

A blizzard warning was in effect for northwestern Minnesota and northeastern North Dakota on Wednesday, February 12, with forecasters calling for heavy winds and “dangerously low” temperatures through noon on Thursday.

According to the National Weather Service, the blizzard warning remained in effect for the Fargo area through Wednesday afternoon and a wind chill warning until midday Thursday.

Wind gusts were forecast to reach 45 mph, with a wind chill factor as low as -45 F.

This video, shared by Minnesota State Patrol Public Information Officer Sgt Jesse Grabow, was taken in Clay County, Minnesota, adjacent to Fargo, North Dakota. It shows a truck and trailer in a ditch on Highway 9.
