Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift rent out banquet room for postgame date
Don’t blame Travis Kelce if he knows how to score points on and off the field, especially when it comes to date night with Taylor Swift.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end reportedly snagged a 16-seat banquet room for himself and the Grammy winner on Monday at Argentinian steakhouse Piropos Restaurant — one of his regular haunts in the Missouri town, an eyewitness told Entertainment Tonight.
The date, which took place the day after Kelce’s latest win, kicked off at about 8:15 p.m. and lasted roughly two hours. The two-time Super Bowl champ and the “Enchanted” singer kept the curtains closed in the room, per the source.
Kelce and Swift were reportedly adorable during what appeared to the onlooker to be a great date, and even ended with the NFL star signing a card for the restaurant owner’s grandson. According to ET, plenty of security vehicles were on hand as Kelce and Swift then departed the restaurant.
The day before, Swift was photographed cheering on the Chiefs as they defeated the Los Angeles Chargers, 31-17. The Chiefs have so won each of the four games Swift has attended.
Following the game Sunday, Swift pecked her new beau’s cheek in a now-viral picture posted by Chariah Gordon, girlfriend of Chiefs player Mecole Hardman Jr.
Just last week, reports surfaced that Kelce had closed on a nearly $6 million Kansas City mansion, purchased in part to get some more privacy with Swift, who’s returning to the stage as her Eras Tour goes global next month. Kelce is reportedly already planning to join her on the first stop in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as the Chiefs enjoy a brief hiatus.
“Friends think they’re in love,” a source told Us Weekly last week. “It’s going so well because it’s easy and nothing is complicated.”
