Tree Falls into Swollen River Amid Flood Warnings in Northern Washington

Trees fell into the swollen Nooksack River, as flooding brought on by heavy rain swept through Washington state’s north on November 16.

This footage filmed by Megan Denman shows two trees falling into the river, near Glacier in Washington.

The state’s Governor Jay Inslee visited affected communities in Whatcom County. Inslee issued a severe weather emergency for several counties earlier in the week.

The National Weather service warned locals of rising floodwaters from the Nooksack river on November 15. The flood warning was cancelled on November 17, as rain stopped and river levels dropped. Credit: Megan Denman via Storyful
